Time Magazine showcases Makerbot, 3D printer Thing-O-Matic, and “Game Changer” Bre Pettis in great new video

It’s thrilling to watch the rest of the world waking up to the future (and present) of 3D printers. Last week, TV’s “My Design Life” showcased 3D printing, and this week Time Magazine’s Time.com published one of the best videos on 3D printing so far. I like it because it’s simple for the everyday person to understand and get excited about, and perhaps even buy a 3D printer.

The production showcases 3D printer manufacturer Makerbot, and identifies CEO Bre Pettis, a well-known champion of the 3D revolution as a game changer. Pettis takes viewers a great tour of his facilities and what people are printing with his $1,300 Makerbot Thing-O-Matic 3D printer.

Catch the Makerbot TV Season

As an added bonus, I’ve been wanting to post some of the episodes of the brand new Makerbot TV season, and this post seems like a good excuse to do so. Their first episode aired on just last month on September 7, and I believe they are about halfway through the first season. The host of the show is Annelise Jeske, whom they picked specifically for this job after a extensive search of candidates.

Make sure you subscribe to the RSS feed of the Makerbot blog to keep up with the new episodes, and all the other great blog posts that the Makerbot bloggers put up.
